About me / us: Originally from Dublin in Ireland, Australia’s own Irish singer/songwriter duo ‘Sahara’ has been on tour around Australia promoting their latest CD release ‘A New Beginning’. Sahara’s success has been increasing rapidly since the release of their CDs ‘Vision’ and ‘Live at the Malthouse’ which have received rave reviews and a rating of three and a half stars each. Sahara gained nationwide attention when they were interviewed on the ABC TV Evening News dubbing Trish and Dave ‘CyberStars’ due to being the first Australian act to have a song voted No.1 on the First Internet Charts!! Sahara then filmed their concert at the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne that was then webcast on CelticTV New York. This soon become a favourite being webcast on several occasions. Sahara’s performance has been described as a ‘world class act’. Sahara’s music has recently been featured in an international travel campaign promoting Ireland to Mexico this advertisement is also being played in over 300 BlockBuster outlets throughout Mexico. Sahara is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to their latest CD which will be released in the very near future.
